2003 Chestnut Stallion
(Triple S Red Wind X Ranches A&F Plain Jane)
Our senior stallion, Windjammer is a horse of incredible type and substance and is truly the heart of our program. Born in 2003, Windjammer was one of the last colts produced by the excellent stallion Triple S Red Wind, and out of a fine western mare, Ranches A&F Plain Jane. With more than two dozen foals on the ground, Windjammer has proven himself to consistently stamp his offspring with a kind eye, uncommon bone, and incredible heart.
Windjammer is 99.6% foundation, red chestnut, and stands 15-2 hands. While not tested, we suspect he is homozygous Agouti as he has only produced bays out of multiple black mares. He is a very solid, very typey, horse with a deep barrel, wide chest, long hip, and exceptional bone. We have found his offspring to be the very best using and performance horses we have seen, with all the heart and stamina to get the job done in the roughest of country and bring their rider home safely at the end of a long, hard day!
Windjammer goes back to Justin Morgan in 18 generations and has many prominent foundation morgans in his pedigree, including high percentages of Bennington, Mansfield and General Gates. He is 99.6% foundation, with one outcross through Upwey Ben Don. AMHA registration #162667.
