2023 Smokey Black Stallion

When Arctic Morgans started looking for an outside stallion, we didn’t have to look far. We’d admired Joanie and Harris Grunden’s RG Morgans program in Nebraska for years – we seem to have a thing for those Nebraska lines – and in 2001/2002 we bred some of our mares to RG Denmark’s Justa Farmer. Farmer is an exceptional stallion – full foundation, homozygous black,16 hands, and a super disposition. While we loved each of the foals Farmer produced, Renegade has developed into an exceptional young stallion. By Farmer, he is out of our fine palomino mare, Kennebec Jan’s Gold – Triple S bloodlines under another farm name.
This 2023 stallion is smoky black – a visually black horse with one cream gene – and is developing really nicely. At 2 years old, he stands a solid 14-3 and we expect him to finish around 15-2. He has great bone and hip but he really stands out as a big and elegant mover. He is kind, quiet and focused in training. While we expect him to produce marvelous foals in future, he will have to earn that right. First, we have big plans for showing him in the future!
Renegade traces to Justin Morgan in 16 generations, with high percentages of Bennington and Jubilee King, with lots of Flyhawk up close. Renegade is full foundation. AMHA registration #207898.
