While we did not really need another stallion, we knew from the moment this boy dropped that he was something special; and he knows it too! Drover is by Bucksnort’s Windjammer and out of Triple S Bay Be Kate (farm name Katie B). Only Katie B’s second foal and the first time crossed with Windjammer, but the way he came out, it sure won’t be the last time. Drover is truly exceptional – he has Windjammer’s super kind disposition and incredible bone and his dam’s super withers and length of leg. On top of that, he is almost comically confident but what really stands out is his movement. As a yearling, he is already matching stride with our huge moving and locally legendary gelding, Arctic Red Wind!
Drover is already 15 hands as a yearling. This fine bay colt was made for performance and we expect to be showing him too in future. Long term, we expect him to take Windjammer’s place, producing solid performance morgans with huge heart and a big work ethic.
Drover traces back to Justin Morgan in 19 generations, with high percentages of Bennington, Romanesque and Mansfield. Drover is 99.8% foundation. AMHA registration # pending.
